The Founder of JBC Psychology
Helping People Get Back to Work
Following her graduation as a psychology major, worked for the Commonwealth government in various workplace rehabilitation roles for 12 years. Supporting individuals facing the challenge of returning to work was rewarding, but wanted to do more for her clients on a therapeutic level as a psychologist.
Julia's journey to becoming a registered psychologist included a two-year internship with a private rehabilitation provider. During this time, she gained extensive experience working with Workcover, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and Australian Defence Force clients. This diverse background equips with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, rehabilitation, and the unique needs of her clients.
Recently completed advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Her commitment to staying at the forefront of therapy techniques ensures that her clients receive the best possible care.
