What is the most exciting part of your job?

The same things that sometimes challenge me! I thrive on problem-solving, so when I overcome obstacles or help my team succeed in tough situations, I feel accomplished and rewarded.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Still here at Tara SOUTS, going strong, with our community thriving and my children growing into resilient, wonderful adults with families of their own.

What's something you're proud of?

My supportive family. Balancing one established business while building a new one, my children remain my greatest motivation in everything I do.

My family, my children are the reason I started SOUTS, the reason I work so hard

What motivates you at work?

Supporting our community and clients, motivates me to continuously do my best.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The chance to have a positive impact on a client’s day is the most exciting and rewarding aspect of my job.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself travelling and exploring Australia, discovering all that our beautiful country has to offer.

What's something you're proud of?

I am proud of my hard work and the achievements I have made so far in my career.

My parents inspire me with their strong work ethic and their unwavering commitment to going above and beyond for others.

What motivates you at work?

I’m motivated by the big responsibility I have to make sure everyone gets their pays on time and to make sure everything is getting billed out correctly so that the company stays successful and running well. It’s something I care very much about.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

I enjoy being able to get everything really organised so everything runs smoothly, I love learning new things and using my skills to benefit the company. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years I would like to be growing and developing always in my career and always learning new skills and information and I would like to have finished the main big bits of my home renovation and be working hard on paying my mortgage off so that I can retire comfortably one day. 

What's something you're proud of?

I’m proud of learning my job fast and well and having a big part in a company that provides essential services to the community and does a lot of good work for people. 

Who inspires you?

My family inspires me, everyone in their own way. Even though we have all been through hard things in our lives, I’m inspired by the way all my family members, including my extended family have picked themselves up and work hard to get through things and make their life better, for both themselves and the rest of their family.

What motivates you at work?

Being part of a team that supports the community, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Seeing the positive outcome, whether it's problem solving, or contributing to someone's growth or success, this gives me a strong sense of purpose.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

No 2 days are the same, there is always a challenge to overcome. It's incredibly rewarding to support individuals with their ideas and watching them achieve their goals. Every participant interaction is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact, and that keeps my work dynamic and fulfilling.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Still at SOUTS, watching it grow into something amazing for out community. I would also like to travel around our beautiful country. 

What's something you're proud of?

My family and everything we have accomplished and the dreams that we have.

Who inspires you?

My family, particularly my Nan who has seen some many changes in her lifetime, she is the strongest person I know. She has taught me the importance of being there for others and a strong work ethic. 

What motivates you at work?

Being part of a team that works together to support each other and people within our community. 

What is the most exciting part of your job?

Everyday is different, it is not like every other job. On a day to day basis we overcome so many obstacles, but we always manage to stay a team and give the best support to our participants.  

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

 Hopefully still a Support Coordinator for SOUTS.  

What's something you're proud of?

 I am proud how far SOUTS has come as a company and how far I have come in my role. I am confident in my role and I wouldn't have that without the support of my colleagues.

Who inspires you?

My family and my daughter particularly, she has taught me to live life to the fullest and never take anything for granted. She inspires me to build a future for us as a family.   

What motivates you at work?

Bringing happiness to others.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

Seeing people enjoy themselves in environments they might never have experienced without my support.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I look forward to having my house completed and spending quality time with family. 

What's something you're proud of?

I'm incredibly proud of my wife and the valuable professional service she provides to the small town of Tara.

Who inspires you?

I'm inspired by people I know who have made bold career changes to entirely new fields. Their bravery has enriched their own lives and positively impacted others and the community. 

What motivates you at work?

A genuine love for helping others live their best lives, no matter their situation. 

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting moments are when clients greet me with a smile, and at the end of the shift, thank me or give me a hug for brightening their day. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully retired, spending time in my garden and cherishing moments with family.

What's something you're proud of?

I'm incredibly proud of my four children, who have grown into kind and thoughtful individuals.

Who inspires you?

My mum, who taught me selflessness and the importance of being there for others. Even after eight years with severe dementia, she still cares deeply about the people around her. 

What motivates you at work?

Being there for someone and helping them access whatever they need to enjoy life motivates me every day.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is knowing that my help can make a difference and have a meaningful impact on someone's life.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I hope to look back and see that I’ve contributed positively to people's lives and made a lasting difference.

What's something you're proud of?

I'm proud of my family and the unwavering support I’ve received from them throughout my journey.

Who inspires you?

I’m inspired by anyone who has faced difficult and challenging times in their life and continues to inspire others to do their best.

What motivates you at work?

Seeing clients achieve their goals motivates me to continue providing the best support possible.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is engaging with our clients in all the diverse activities we offer.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I hope to still be working and contributing to our community in Tara in whatever way I can.

What's something you're proud of?

I’m proud of obtaining my First Aid and CPR certificates, which have equipped me to help others in critical situations.

Who inspires you?

My grandmother inspires me—she brought two teenage boys from England to Australia on her own and started a new life for them in a tin shack in Inala. Her resilience and strength continue to motivate me.

What motivates you at work?

Knowing I am making a positive difference in my clients' lives.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

I love helping and supporting clients in meaningful ways.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

As I am nearly 62, I hope to retire, travelling around Australia and living my best life.

What's something you're proud of?

I am proud when I can encourage a client to feel motivated and empowered.

Who inspires you?

Clients with disabilities who achieve their goals despite challenges- they're truly inspiring. 

What motivates you at work?

Knowing that I’m making a difference in the community by helping others motivates me every day.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is working with a great team. It feels wonderful to belong and know that I’m making a positive impact in the lives of our clients.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself retired and living life to the fullest, travelling and enjoying new experiences.

I’m proud of being independent, working with the utmost integrity, and being happy with who I am.

Who inspires you?

God inspires me, and my relationship with Him helps me strive to be the best I can be for myself and others.

What motivates you at work?

Helping people who are committed to improving their lives through our services is what truly motivates me.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The incredible team I work with and the inspiring clients I have the privilege to support.

Continuing as a valued member of the SOUTS team, making a positive impact every day.

Being part of SOUTS and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.

It's not just one person - several colleagues inspire me to become the best support worker I can be.

Helping to make my clients' lives easier is what motivates me at work.

The most exciting part of my job is meeting new people and learning from their experiences.

In 10 years, I see myself retired and enjoying life after a fulfilling career.

A friend in Brisbane inspires me. She has battled three different cancers in her life, yet she continues to help everyone around her with kindness and strength.

My community and my clients.

Spending quality time with clients, supporting them, and bringing happiness to their day.

Working in youth services, helping and supporting others to reach their potential.

The love, care and empathy I have to share with others.

My mums inspire me with her incredible love and care for others.

What motivates you at work?

I'm motivated by the goals my participants set, and I do everything I can to help them achieve these. 

What is the most exciting part of your job?

I love that every day is unique, and I have the chance to make a positive impact in people's lives.

Hopefully retired, surrounded by animals and grandchildren.

Myra-Lyn inspires me - she's built an amazing business that makes a difference in the whole community.

The community and our clients.

My supportive, empathetic nature and the respect I show others.

Making a difference in people's lives for them to be more independent and happy.

Helping people become the best they can be, meeting new people, and being apart of a great team and being part of the community.

Living in our home my husband and I have built with our animals, and being creative with my pottery and painting.

Building our home from scratch with my husband.

The Idea of progression and having something to work towards. Also being able to help people and put smiles on their faces.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

Having the opportunity to put smiles on peoples faces while also smiling myself and helping people grow and learn.

Having a family to come home to from a job I love.

I've worked hard for everything I have today.

That I am able to my community and making a difference in a persons life.

Seeing clients happy at the end of every shift.

I see myself with an electrical apprenticeship and still working with SOUTS.

I am proud I can help clients and fulfil their goals.
